Stocking only premium WA wines, a great selection of premium beers, premium spirits and sumptuous cocktails freshly prepared for you, topped off with great service from a dedicated team of professionals BAR 138 on barrack prides itself with being different from the competition, being sustainable is our first priority so yes we do sometimes do things a little different.

History

BAR138 on barrack boasts a spacious terrace that occupies the site of the famous Railway Hotel, one of Perth’s first hotels built in 1847 (first known as the commercial hotel). The naming of the Railway Hotel was at the same time the Fremantle to Guilford railway commenced construction, and reflects the great impact of the railway development on the commercial life of Perth at the time. Until this day, the Railway Hotel Licence operates (as BAR138 on Barrack) and is one of the few licensed establishments close to the central railway station still in operation. The hotel retains its historic link to the past and contributes to the community's sense of place.
