The Cookhouse Restaurant  

Uniquely retro décor and outstanding service offer dinners a comfortable relaxed setting for the whole family. We serve delicious, wholesome Australian fare 7 days a week, lunch and dinner.

The Cookhouse menu provides plenty of variety from traditional fare to more exotic selections including vegetarian options. Try one of the many dishes on offer such as the succulent Pistachio Crusted Salmon or the ever popular Brooklands Lamb Shanks – slowly braised in a rich, rustic sauce. If all this isn’t enough be tempted by the scrumptious cakes and desserts on offer. Or just sit back and enjoy a quality coffee to wrap up a fine meal.

Back Shed Bar  

Need some Back Shed therapy? Join the crew in the Back Shed at Brooklands – adjacent to the Cookhouse. An awesome place to socialise kick back and enjoy a drink with friends, play a game of pool, watch major sporting events screened live on the BIG in-house TV screens, take advantage of the onsite TAB betting facilities or just sit back and relax to the sound of the jukebox while you polish off a hearty counter meal.

Brooklands is the perfect venue for your function – large or small. We can cater for corporate and private functions for groups between 20 and 200 people. Whether you are planning a three course sit down dinner, an intimate cocktail party, a corporate or fundraising event, Brooklands is the venue for you. Our delicious variable menus, friendly staff, configurable venue room and affordable packages are designed to offer great value and flexibility.

Our retro style décor is reminiscent of the fifties and provides a vibrant yet cosy environment. Silver mesh blinds control the influx of natural light into the restaurant throughout the day via large windows situated on two sides of the building. At dusk the internal lighting is dimmed and temperature adjusted to encourage an intimate dining mood. Patrons can converse easily thanks to the clever acoustic features which modulate and soften background sounds.

To support your requirements we can provide an array of event tools including audio-visual equipment, juke boxes, dance floor, internet, PA systems, overhead projectors, whiteboards, decorations, chair covers, candelabras, table linen and more.
